Although its success has been partially attributed to its release amid global stay-at-home orders during the COVID-19 pandemic, the biggest reason for Animal Crossing to succeed is the well-designed game itself.

This paper is about the evaluation and re-design of a Bluetooth speaker called “Timebox-Evo” produced by Divoom. In this paper, we analyze the pros and cons of Timebox-Evo and provide two alternative designs and one physical design of it.
